WestAus Crisis coordinate the day each year with the assistance of many other agencies in the area and also with the help of the 2 local radio stations 97.3 Coast FM & 91.7 The Wave.
Homelessness Day has been running for the past 20 years in the Peel region, supported by most agencies in the area. This is a day were people requiring assistance due to homelessness can access services, referrals, haircuts, sleeping bags/swags, tents, blankets, food and other necessities. The day is also to raise awareness of the homelessness issue and lack of affordable housing in Australia.
This year Homelessness Awareness Day will be held on the Mandurah Foreshore near Circular Pool on Thursday 8th August 2024. We would love to see you there.
